• Complimentary manual data entry for CDs that fail metadata look-up -- this applies to custom made CD-R's, our metadata look-up for commercially produced CDs is *very* good. (Example: Custom CD-R mix "Tom & Sarah's Wedding Music").
• We will manually enter what is written on the disc into the ALBUM field so that you can more easily identify the disc and corresponding files for further data entry upon receiving your completed order.
• The ARTIST field will be set to "Unknown Artist" and the individual track names will be set to generic "01 Track01", "02 Track02", etc.
• Please note that the point of this complimentary service is to aid you with finishing the metadata entry for unknown discs -- it is impossible for us to know the contents without the jewel case liner notes or an idea of what was recorded on a custom CD-R. The alternative to this complimentary service is that the files are tagged as "Unknown Artist" and "Unknown Album", making it time consuming for you to match the discs to the files.
• We will abbreviate and shorten where reasonable while still keeping the naming unique from disc to disc.
• This does NOT apply to semi-professionally produced custom CDs (eg. large church sermon collections, large lecture series, large collections of audio courses, basically anything that has long systematic naming and you need the entire label typed into the ALBUM field). If you need service for these types of collections, please contact us for a custom price quote as long labels are much more time-intensive.
• This complimentary offer applies to no more than 5% of collection.
• If more than 5% of your collection requires manual data entry, a service fee (+$1.00/CD that needs manual data entry) will apply. Please note that this could result in extra charges, we never know how many CDs will require manual data entry until we're in the midst of processing. At which point we have to enter something unique for the album or the files will overwrite other albums. There is generally no problem finding metadata for commercially produced CDs, this issue pertains almost entirely to custom-made CD-R discs.
• Album cover art is included for free.
